PHB is on 24 minute frequency all day. For additional service, please take PHD or NMG. At 7 AM, 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM: it departs Maroon Bay 9 at :12 and :36 past the hour and Patrick Henry Drive at :00, :24 and :48 past the hour. At 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 4 PM and 6 PM: it departs Maroon Bay 9 at :00, :24 and :48 past the hour and Patrick Henry Drive at :12 and :36 past the hour.

The Campus Shuttle leaves from the Loops and circulates campus. For more information, check out the Campus Shuttle map HERE.

BMR, CRC and HXP routes also service central campus stops.

The Loops are fully accessible to allow all passengers to get on and off of buses easily. All of our buses are equipped with ramps to allow for easy boarding for all.  

All BT buses arriving on campus stop at the Loops.

Yes, most bus schedules will shift slightly from the previous academic year due to route changes to accommodate the Loops.

New stops have been added on West Campus Dr., Washington St., Kent St. and Stanger St.

Yes, since all of our Blacksburg routes stop at The Loops, transfers are easier than ever before. Use the plan a trip function HERE to find transfers.

Routes are assigned to a specific bay at The Loops. Check which bay your bus is in at the top of this webpage, on our app, or on the signboards at The Loops.

Virginia Breeze, Smart Way, Radford Transit, and Our Bus will also pick up and drop off at The Loops.

All regional service at the Loops will service bays 1 & 2 in the Maroon Loop.

Upon arrival, each bus will pull into a specific bay. The bays are numbered and route assignment by bay can be found in the BT app or on signage at the Loops.

The Loops are the new central hub for all BT buses on Virginia Tech’s Campus. The two paved bus loops sit on either side of Perry Street Garage and are where all buses arriving on campus pick up and drop off passengers.

All buses arriving on campus drop off passengers at the Loops located near the Perry Street garage.

The Loops are also the central stop passengers board buses to leave campus.

The extremely cold temperatures experienced over the past few days has caused the charging of electric buses to be extremely slow. In an effort to maintain a consistent service for the duration of the day, the following decreases in service are being made on Tuesday, 2/3. BMR, CAS, HDG, HXP and PHB are affected.
