Why Work for BT?

  • We have fun. While Transit may sound boring, it’s just the opposite. Check out the video from our annual roadeo and we think you’ll agree.
  • We’re on the leading edge of technology. We installed GPS on our buses back in the 90’s (don't worry, they’ve been upgraded since!), developed our own app and frequently work on research projects to further both BT and the transit industry as a whole.
  • We have a job for everyone. From bus drivers, to mechanics, and administrative staff we have a little of everything, including part time and full time positions.
  • We’re a team. There’s no “I” in team, right? Well there’s no “I” in BT either. We work together, to make BT the best place to work in Blacksburg.
  • We offer great benefits. Full time positions come with great benefits, including the most important one, health insurance. Rest assured, we offer great health insurance, with great single and family rates.

Benefits - FT

  • Paid Time Off. Our Flexible Leave Plan is "flexible."  The longer you stay with us the more time off you’ll earn.

  • Teamwork Makes The Dream Work. It’s that simple, everyone works together as a team and we take a lot of pride in a job done right.
