On Monday, 9/30, NMG, SMA, and SMS Transit Center departure times will change. Off-campus timechecks at Red Maple, Fairfax Circle and Fairfax Rd. will remain the same.
NMG will depart the Transit Center at :00, :15, :30, and :45 past the hour, every hour until 6:30 PM. From 6:30 PM through 9:30 PM, NMG buses will depart the Transit Center at :15 and :45 past the hour, every hour. Use NMP after 9:30 PM.
NMG departure times are 3 minutes earlier than previously.
SMA will depart the Transit Center at :25 and :55 past the hour, every hour until 6:30 PM. Use SMS or SME after 6:30 PM.
SMA departure times are 2 minutes earlier than previously.
SMS will depart the Transit Center at :10 and :40 past the hour, every hour until 9:30 PM. Use SME after 9:30 PM.
SMS departure times are 2 minutes earlier than previously.
NMP and SME departure times have not changed.
Why are we changing the Main Street timing mid-semester?
With the transition to the Loops, NMG, SMS, and SMA have experienced difficulties keeping on schedule. To improve our reliability on Main Street, we’re separating the north and south routes, as well as adding a third bus to the south main area.
North Main: Two buses will service NMG on 15 minute frequency until 6:30 PM. From 6:30 PM through 9:30 PM, one bus will provide 30 minute service.
South Main: Three buses will alternate between SMS and SMA while SMA is in service. This will provide 30 minute frequency on both routes, and 15 minute frequency to the stops that are serviced by both SMS and SMA. From 6:30 PM-9:30 PM, two buses will provide 30 minute service to SMS stops.
