5/7 - Metallica Concert Bus Impacts

Blacksburg Transit will run expanded service on May 7th to accommodate the anticipated increased demand for the concert. Expect traffic delays on campus and in town.

4/30 - 5/9 - CRC Detour

Due to concert preparations in the Lane Stadium lot, the CRC will detour from Wednesday, 4/30 at 5 PM through Friday, 5/9. Stops #1153 Lane Stadium and #1152 Lane Stadium at Sterrett will not be serviced. Chicken Hill stops will still be serviced.

Due to difficulties in changed traffic patterns and in order to provide the best service possible, the Explorer Gold (GLD) route will be adjusted begining Monday, 7/12. The following changes will take effect beginning that day:

Elimination of the following stops past the Park and Ride: Roanoke/Roger Ebnd (2187), Roanoke.Motor Ebnd (2188), Hampton/Roanoke Sbnd (2190), Hampton Blvd Sbnd (2189), Roanoke/Industrial Wbnd (2191)
- Deviation requests are permitted for closed stops. Requests can be made by calling 540-443-7111
No service to Shoppers Way Wbnd (2209), still serviced by Explorer Blue
No service to NRV Theatre (1801), still serviced by Explorer Blue
GLD will no longer circle the mall before servicing stop 1800
