These conceptual renderings show the Multi-Modal Transit Facility (MMTF) that will become the new central hub for Blacksburg Transit services on the Virginia Tech campus. The building will be located on the south side of the Perry Street parking garage. It will include two bus loops with a total of 17 bus bays - one loop on the east side of the building and one on the west side. The project is being designed to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

The MMTF will serve as a hub for most Blacksburg Transit routes as well as various regional transit services, such as Smart Way and Radford Transit. The facility will also house the Hokie bike hub now located in the Perry Street Parking Garage.

Design has been completed; the Invitiation for Bid was issued in late 2020 and the project was awarded in January 2021 to WM Schlosser. Construction began in the Spring of 2021.
